A Roomba Review That Answers the Question, “Is That Vaccuum Fact or Fiction”?

Admit it - you hate vacuuming and have been fascinated by those infomercials showing a little robot which can clean floors.  If it doesn’t seem possible that such a science fiction invention could solve your cleaning problems, guess again.  The little robot is called a Roomba and reading this roomba review might actually give you hope.

Roomba actually is a small robotic invention which scoots around and cleans surfaces. It is battery powered and comes with its own docking station.  The Roomba can actually find its way back to the station when its battery is low. Also included are a wall mount,  remote control, brush-cleaning tools, and replacement filters. It doesn’t include stair-cleaning attachments.  There are also Virtual Wall units which restrict and redirect the vacuum when it runs into them.  Some roomba reviews provided by my friends suggest that it is best to use the device when you are at home because the Virtual Walls don’t always keep the unit in the room.

The little vacuum has been called a minesweeper by some users, because it literally seeks out dirt.  My sister’s roomba review stated that the vacuum did a good job of collecting the hair from multiple cats but would get clogged up, stop, and beep to indicate it needed to be cleaned.  Users are reporting that Roomba does an especially good job on tile and other smooth surfaces.  It has a “Clean” setting, which tells it complete one room and go back to its docking station.  The “Max” setting covers several rooms and the vacuum runs until the battery needs charging.  Roomba is not fast and users report that it takes longer to cover the same area a hand-held vacuum would.

Overall, users have reported that Roomba is a fun experience and does a good job, especially on smooth surfaces.  Although it is slower then a conventional machine, that is more than made up for by the fact that it does all of the work. As a bonus, one friend who gave me a roomba review added that her cats are fascinated by it.  I have to admit, so am I.
