The History of Google Buzz
The social networking and messaging tool introduced by Google is Google Buzz. It was introduced to merge into Gmail, which is the company’s web-based email program. The users share links, photos, videos, status messages and comments are organized.
Buzz allows users to select to share publicly with the world or privately to a group of friends each time they post. Buzz was introduced by Google to contend with social networking websites. Buzz also contains certain other elements from the products of Google. Buzz helps to link the gap between work and leisure. The main disadvatage is concerned with the privacy. The service is attained with a supported mobile device the user’s current location is posted. Users are allowed to use the actual physical location reported by the device for their Buzz posts only. Buzz does not allow users to manually specify an arbitrary location. The mobile version of Buzz combines with Google Maps and the users can see who is around them. Buzz Users posts made through Google Maps are public and anybody using the software can see it. An uploaded photo is included along with the text.
Google Buzz was declared on 9th February 2010. The available features from Gmail inbox was transfered to Gmail accounts in the following weeks. Google Profiles were in existence before Buzz and could be set by the user to be used or not. After the release of Buzz, the last name field was needed to be nonempty. The profiles that were set not to be indexed became indexed for a profile search.
