The Hottest Thing on the Market
When it comes to Verizon Cell Phones, the hottest thing on the market would be the Motorola DROID, and while it was hailed as the iPhone killer, the reality is the it is just a very strong competitor in the market. The iPhone survives and flourishes but that doesn’t mean that Motorola hasn’t done a fantastic job of bringing to market a mobile device that can rival the popularity of its previous champion, the Razr. The DRIOD has a host of features that make it a truly amazing and useful device.
If the slick interface were the only good thing to say about the DROID, it would still be worth choosing; but it comes with a 5.0 megapixel camera and DVD quality video capture ability. In addition to the camera, the DROID is wi-fi enabled so you can surf the net at faster than 3G speeds when you can acces a wi-fi network. The touch screen, app store, and Android operating system are also very good reasons to choose the DROID from all the Verizon Cell Phones.
The DRIOD is certainly among the best of breed, but there are some other very strong competitors also on the Verizon network that should not be overlooked. There are the Samsung Omnia, HTC DROID ERIS, and Blackberry Storm as well. Of these Verizon Cell Phones, the Blackberry Storm would probably be considered one of the strongest competitors simply because of its popularity with enterprise customers.
So among Verizon Cell Phones, the DROID may be one of the best of breed, but is certainly not alone. Where the Blackberry Storm holds dominance in the enterprise market, the HTC DROID ERIS is a very solid competitor in the youth market. HTC has done a great job of securing early adopters and young customers and seems to be continually developing new products to meet the needs of its user base. Then you have Samsung which chooses to battle for the youth market, but uses price as its leverage. Although the Omnia is not as feature rich as its competitors, it does have a very nice user interface and comes in at a price far lower than its nearest competitors.
